To Add to my answer about the problem with defaulting the panel without the manual is, More than likely you may have a system that won't work due to default values, maybe (EOL/NO EOL's, etc)Enrolling Keypads, Connecting Receivers, Expanders, etc.By not being able to default with out the Manual, leaves you with a working system and no code, code may come to you.You can also get a new board with manual for under $100. This way you are up to date.AND have a Installer Manual, User Manual, And Programming Guide, This will now be your system, If you ever leave, Swap boards if OK to do so.They Have a Really nice Keypad, I believe a PTK 5507, Large display is also a Picture Viewer, at home you could have your family or other pictures, and if at a business, have it scroll through, adds sales promotions etc. Plus you can expand the 1832(the old PC5010) to 32 zones, Automation Board. Super Panel, Can Do Anything.Has a SD slot for your Pictures/Adds/?

Adt Installer Code Dsc

Hi all,My wife and I just moved into a house with an old security system that was installed by ADT. The system is a PC1555 board with a PC5508Z panel. The previous residents didn't use the alarm system and didn't know any of the codes. I plugged it in and tried the default codes, but none of them worked, so I defaulted the system. Not surprisingly, the installer code was not reset, meaning installer lockout was enabled.

I dug around some more, and used the default ADT code, which worked. Now everything is up and running, except for two issues:1) I can't change the installer code (section 006). I tried disabling installer lockout (991), which seemed to work, but I still can't change the installer code. This isn't the end of the world, as the installer code doesn't seem to arm or disarm the system, but still, it would be nice to change this to something original.2) Trouble code 4 (Failure to communicate) stays on, even though I've disabled the communicator (section 380, bit 1 off).

Trouble code 3 was on after the default, but is off now that I've set TLM enable (015:7) and communicator enable (380:1) both to off.Any advice would be appreciated!
