Please undestand.providing me a link to the exact command I was entering will not helpHP stated the serial number will have to be manually entered in t oBIOS in order for this command to work. We do not knw know why out of my 18 servers, 3 apparently do not have the system serial number entered intobios.so Imust go tothe box and look for the serial number tag then restartthe server and go into BIOS and enter it.then this command will return the correct serial number whe nthe WMIC command is enteredthis can happen if you had your server system baord replace at some time that is one speculated reason.
